Ramside win Sunderland International Airshow catering contract

Following a recent competitive tender process, Gateshead’s Ramside Event Catering have been appointed to provide the hospitality catering provision at Sunderland International Airshow for 2015.

Now in its 27th year, Sunderland International Airshow is one of the biggest events in the North East calendar. The event, which is organised by Sunderland Live on behalf of Sunderland City Council, welcomed 950,000 visitors to Sunderland’s seafront last year and looks to sustain, if not increase those figures in 2015.

Zoë Channing, Acting Chief Operating Officer at Sunderland Live , said:“We are thrilled to welcome Ramside Event Catering back to deliver the hospitality at this year’s Sunderland International Airshow.

“The Airshow is a landmark event for many reasons, one of which is the economic benefits that it brings to the region. It’s therefore great to welcome a North East based company to be an integral part of the event’s delivery”

The annual contract was awarded earlier this month and will include the provision of two public bars and nine catering concessions in addition to the three VIP hospitality suites which form Sunderland International Airshow’s Hospitality Village.
