SP Group awarded ISO27001:2013 certification for information security
Point-of-sale (PoS) specialist SP Group today announced it has achieved the joint ISO/IEC27001:2013 certification, part of the family of global standards helping organisations keep information assets secure.
SP Group – part of the Marketing Activation Division of international marketing services group St Ives – sought the widely recognised, internationally accepted information security standard to highlight to clients its ability to handle sensitive data, such as advanced commercial information on marketing campaigns and pricing. The accreditation follows the successful completion of a formal audit process across the entire business.
The company already holds ISO accreditation for Quality (BS EN ISO 9001), Environmental (BS EN ISO 14001), Occupational Health and Safety (BS OHSAS 18001) and Business Continuity (BS ISO22301) Management.
Adrian Hope, Technology Director, Marketing Activation at St Ives plc, said: “We are delighted to receive ISO27001:2013 accreditation which demonstrates to our clients that we take the security of their information very seriously.
“ISO27001 is traditionally associated with those printers handling customer-specific data such as names and addresses for direct mailing. However, as a PoS specialist, SP is very conscious that our clients’ information relating to their future marketing campaigns remains completely confidential.”
