Manufacturing and Engineering North East Goes Live!

The North East Becomes the Focus of UK Manufacturing & Engineering

High profile new event supports regional innovation

The Manufacturing & Engineering North East exhibition and conference is launching in Newcastle in July. This new event will bring together first class speakers and innovative local engineering and manufacturing companies in one location for two days.

“Historically manufacturing & engineering have been at the heart of the North East’s economy and today there are over 10,000 manufacturing and engineering design sites operating within a 100 mile radius of Newcastle,” said Ed Tranter, executive director at Findlay Media. “With major manufacturers such as Nissan and Hitachi investing in the region, that manufacturing and engineering legacy is still strong.”

He continued, “The Manufacturing & Engineering North East event will build on the knowledge and experience of the region, giving both visitors and exhibitors the opportunity to source new suppliers, test equipment, acquire expert knowledge and forge new supply chain relationships. It is an exciting time for the North East and we are looking forward to supporting its ongoing development.”

Manufacturing & Engineering North East will open its doors on July 8th for a two day exhibition and conference at the Metro Radio Arena, Newcastle. The event will comprise three key elements: keynote conference sessions from industry leaders, practical workshops and an exhibition giving access to market leading suppliers covering the full range of design, production and manufacturing.

The event is supported by leading trade bodies and institutions, including the Manufacturing Advisory Service (MAS), North East LEP, Gateshead & Newcastle Inward Investment, Advanced Manufacturing Forum and the Institution of Engineering Designers (IED). Headline sponsors include Fanuc and Lombard, while Schaeffler, WNT, Brownell, Renishaw, Micro Epsilon, Henkel, igus and Materialise are just some of the leading companies that will be exhibiting.

Registering for the event is easy and ensures free entry to the show and allows visitors to select the workshop and conference sessions they would like to attend. The full conference and workshop programme can be found online at the Manufacturing and Engineering North East website.
