Northwich bus driver creates £22m online ticketing company

A bus driver’s dream of revolutionising online ticketing for tourism attractions and events across the UK have begun to take shape with the business.

WebTicketManager has broken through the £22m barrier with over 1.1m tickets transacted in April 2015.

It’s been 10 years since Peter Rosenfeld began developing his idea to build an online ticket platform focused on the visitor economy.

He joined forces with David Wade-Smith, a business and social entrepreneur after a chance meeting and together the WTM technology has been developed to offer tourist attractions unique software to enhance their online ticketing business.

Peter Rosenfeld said: “The opportunity leapt out at us.

“Who’d have thought that so many attractions in England still don’t have any form of online ticketing/booking facility?

“Like all good ideas, it’s simple, and for the attractions it’s totally free to place themselves on an equal playing field with the big boys!

“We’re enabling hundreds of attractions of all sizes to have a much more effective online presence, capture clients and earn extra income.”

WebTicketManager (WTM) offers attractions, events and venues a free white label ticketing solution, which also provides a new but proven income stream by enabling them to cross-sell and promote each other.

With over 700 registered users already, including the FA (Woman’s National Super League football), Liverpool’s Beatles Story and Magical Mystery Tours, the company is on track to exceed target throughput of over £100 million.

One such attraction is Liverpool’s Cavern Club, a popular international tourist attraction which clearly cites WTM as the catalyst to 100% growth in visitor numbers since enabling their booking online facility.

Dave Jones, the business owner said, “WebTicketManager is such a straightforward and easy way of selling tickets online.

“Everything we’ve experimented with using the WebTicketManager online control has worked beyond success.”
