Begbies Traynor expands to larger offices in Newcastle city centre

Professional services consultancy Begbies Traynor, which specialises in areas of corporate recovery, insolvency and finance, has expanded to larger offices in Newcastle city centre.

The firm has signed a ten year lease for office space in Cathedral Buildings on Dean Street, located just round the corner from the firm’s former home on Collingwood Street.

The new completely refurbished and purpose-designed offices will provide more space for the company’s nine-strong team.

Andrew Haslam, partner at Begbies Traynor in Newcastle, said: “Our new offices provide a modern, stylish working environment for both clients and staff.

“They benefit from lots of light and enjoy great views overlooking the Cathedral while also having a convenient location in the heart of the city centre.

“This investment is a further demonstration of the firm’s commitment to continuing to grow our presence in the North East following our recent acquisition of Broadbents Business Recovery Services which has a base in Hartlepool.

“Having established our own office in Thornaby, Stockton, five years ago, we plan to merge it with the former Broadbents’ Hartlepool office and relocate our enlarged Teesside team to a new, larger base later in the year.”

Begbies Traynor Group currently has eight offices and employs around 100 staff in Yorkshire and the North East.
