Bootle-based International Safety Products wins Polish Navy deal

Bootle-based maritime safety company International Safety Products (ISP) has secured a new contract with the Polish Navy.

It is the largest single order of life jackets in ISP’s history.

The large volume deal was secured through ISP’s distribution partner in Poland.

The Liverpool firm is one of the world’s largest manufacturers of inflatable marine lifejackets.

Its last deal with Poland involved manufacturing 6500 twin chamber lifejackets for the national army - part of an overall contract worth in excess of £1.2m.

ISP commercial director Geoff Billington said: “We have supplied a total of 350 Intrepid Once Only Survival Suits to the Polish Navy.

“These products have been specially designed for military naval use. They are manufactured from highly durable pu-coated nylon and have full SOLAS (Safety Of Life At Sea) approval.

“Our successful on-going relationship with the Polish security forces has been founded on our ability to produce vast quantities of custom-designed products to tight time frames.

“We are continuing to drive considerable growth across the international defence and military sectors.”

“ISP benefits from a strong track-record supplying the UK Ministry Of Defence, as well as naval forces from Australia, New Zealand, South Africa, Pakistan and the Netherlands.

“It is our belief that no competitor can match this flexibility.

“Neither do they share the technical knowledge to develop, certificate and approve lifejackets across such a range of markets.
