Citalia Launch the ‘Guide to the Giro d’Italia’

Italian specialist holiday company Citalia has created a one-stop interactive resource for all the information you could need during the 2015 Giro d’Italia racing event in May 2015.

The Giro D’Italia Guide plots each part of the 21-stage tournament onto a map, also allowing users to download the satnav files for each should ambitious cyclists wish to replicate the journeys of the cyclists.

With 21 stages, spread across mountain finishes, sprinting time trials and exhilarating breaks, this year’s Giro d’Italia is set to be one of the most-gruelling in its history.

The Citalia ‘Guide to the Giro d’Italia’ is the perfect companion to learn more about the origins of the prestigious race, previous winners, the teams taking part and the complex routes it follows.

By pulling in news and real-time imagery, as well as providing detailed information on each stage, users can keep up to date with the race, the riders and the destinations that it passes through.

Those looking to visit Italy during the Giro can also benefit from the resource as it gives detailed insight into local points of interest to encourage visitors to explore the towns which surround each stage.

Darren Foster, Specialist at Citalia, said: “As one of the most important bike races in the world, passing through 40 towns and cities, it can sometimes be overwhelming to keep up-to-date with the progress and updates throughout. We have created this interactive resource to allow users to discover more about each of the routes, the history of the race and the breath-taking destinations the riders will pass through.”
