Mactech Announces Appointment of General Manager

Mactech Inspection Limited is pleased to welcome Simon Thorne as their new General Manager. Simon will be responsible for the commercial and operational management of the business, alongside developing and driving the company strategy.

Simon brings over 15 years’ involvement within the Oil and Gas industry to the role. During his career he has gained significant international experience in commercial and operational management, and project control disciplines. His sector background includes Pipelines/Process and Umbilical services, fabrication and asset integrity, maintenance and decommissioning. He also has a wealth of knowledge within the Renewable and Brownfield sectors.

On his appointment Simon commented “I am delighted to be joining Mactech at such an exciting time. Last year they experienced tremendous growth within the UK and International marketplaces and recognise there is further potential. Looking ahead I am relishing the opportunity in driving the company forward from a strategic and operational point of view.”

To assist the company in their growth plans Simon will focus on the development of commercial propositions, managing processes from planning and tendering through to the delivery of projects, and ensuring the management of control and financial outcomes are on target throughout the key milestones.
