Neo Technology Announces Line-Up for the 2015 GraphConnect Europe, Featuring adidas, Orange Labs, and the Royal Netherlands Meteorological Institute
Neo Technology, creator of Neo4j, the world’s leading graph database, today announced the final agenda for the GraphConnect Europe conference, taking place on 7th May 2015 at 155 Bishopsgate in London.
GraphConnect is the only conference dedicated to the rapidly growing graph database community, bringing together thought leaders, researchers and developers from around the globe. This year the event boasts a variety of speakers, including customer such as adidas, Orange Labs and the Royal Netherlands Meteorological Institute, Sentience and Stitched as well as industry experts from organisations including Delft University of Technology and Linkurious.
This is an important conference in that it addresses a rocketing demand for graph databases, which are the fastest-growing category in database management systems, and which Forrester predicts will reach over 25% of all enterprises by 2017.[1] Aiming to help educate and inform all sides of the graph database discussion – including every level from developers and community users through to System Architects and up to the C-Level.
GraphConnect Europe will kick off with a keynote presentation from CEO, Emil Eifrem before splitting into three tracks showcasing content for the business audience, graph community attendees and practitioners. Each track will feature a variety of speakers all of which are experts or users of graph databases.
Understanding the Neo4j Business Case
The highlights include a presentation from Hans Verhoef, at the Royal Netherlands Meteorological Institute discussing how the organisation used the Neo4j platform to monitor their operational meteorological data production system. Additionally, Sokratis Kartelias, from the adidas Group will talk through how graph databases played a central role in delivering relevant and compelling content to adidas Group consumers and Nicolas Rouyer, Project Manager and Architect, Orange Labs will be taking to the stage to discuss the impact Neo4j has had on incident prediction in their network.
Meanwhile, there will also be presentations from start ups Stitched and Sentience discussing respectively how graph databases recommendations and graph based search have helped shape their businesses.
Community Outreach
For the community, Philip Rathle, VP of Products at Neo Technology, will be providing insight into how Neo Technology built their Neo4j graph database while developer evangelist Brian Underwood will be sharing best practice insights into the creation of GraphGists.
Finally, the conference will be closed following an afternoon keynote delivered by Jim Webber. Entitled ‘Impossible is Nothing’, the presentation will cover some of the impossible use cases made possible by graph technology, looking closely at how Neo4j is powering both new solutions to old challenges as well as unique and innovative business models.
