iland named a Challenger in the Gartner Magic Quadrant for Disaster Recovery as a Service
iland’s proven DRaaS solutions continue to receive high marks from customers, partners and industry analysts.
London – May, 2015 – iland, an award-winning enterprise cloud infrastructure provider, today announced that it has been positioned by Gartner Inc. in the “Challenger” quadrant of the 2015 “Magic Quadrant for Disaster Recovery as a Service.”*
Gartner defines Disaster Recovery as a Service (DRaaS) as an offering in which the service provider manages virtual machine (VM) replication and, optionally, physical machine (PM) replication from the production data centre into the cloud, VM/PM activation inside the cloud and recovery exercising within the cloud.
In the Magic Quadrant for this market sector, Gartner analysts evaluated 14 service providers offering DRaaS, based on the criteria of ‘ability to execute’ and ‘completeness of vision.’
iland’s DR-as-a-Service enables IT workloads to be replicated from virtual or physical environments to a global high-availability cloud infrastructure. With a decade of disaster recovery expertise, iland goes beyond simple backup to ensure all key workloads are protected – and the disaster recovery process is tuned to its customers’ business priorities and compliance needs.
Unlike any other provider, iland enables customers to easily, efficiently execute failovers and tests via its proven Enterprise Cloud Services Portal and mobile application – a single interface that can also be used to manage any iland cloud resources around the globe. iland partners with Zerto, Veeam, and Vision Solutions’ Double-Take to bring the best replication technologies to its customers worldwide. For companies running production workloads in iland’s cloud, the company also provides cloud-to-cloud recovery.
“Our longstanding commitment to unmatched support and technological innovation will always remain a constant, and our customers continue to report the high levels of satisfaction that define our success,” said Brian Ussher, president, iland. “Knowing direct customer feedback helped shape Gartner’s findings, we’re proud to be named as a Challenger in the Magic Quadrant for Disaster Recovery as a Service, and we feel it further affirms customer satisfaction is not only important, but a key differentiator in the DRaaS space.”
iland has also achieved the Cisco Powered Disaster Recovery as a Service (DRaaS) designation under the Cisco® Cloud and Managed Services Advanced Certification.
iland is ranked as a leader in Forrester Research, Inc.‘s report entitled, “The Forrester Wave™: Disaster-Recovery-As-A-Service Providers, Q1 2014.” Forrester refers to iland as “the dark horse champion” in the report. In the research firm’s evaluation, iland received the highest scores possible for its core DRaaS offerings, recovery objective capabilities, platform and application support, data resiliency and risk mitigation, security, value proposition and vision, as well as pricing, service levels and contract terms.
