York’s Grosvenor Financial Consultants invest in newly refurbished head office
York- based specialist IFA Grosvenor Financial Consultants is marking significant growth within the company by moving to a new head office on Amy Johnson Way at Clifton Moor in the city.
The company’s team of 12 are set to operate out of the high quality, contemporary 5,500 sq ft offices, which previously underwent an extensive six-month refurbishment. As well as undergoing a comprehensive interior refit, the exterior of the building, Pavilion 2000, has also been modernised.
Founded by Mark Pepper, Grosvenor has established a new type of commercial lending fund backed by clients’ pensions, which has seen over £27m lent in the past year on high profile projects, and over £47m since the first loan was made in 2009.
This tax efficient system allows private and company pension pots to be lent commercially against secured investments, usually commercial property developments that require funding for building work, and pays an average interest rate to clients of around 9%.
The loans include a £3.45m investment in Leeds-based Prospect Property Group’s new environmentally sustainable office scheme, which is currently under construction at Doncaster International Business Park next to Robin Hood Airport.
Grosvenor has moved to its new Clifton Moor offices from smaller premises on Swinegate in York city centre.
Mr Pepper, the director of Grosvenor, said: “Our relocation is a demonstration of our belief in the strength of business in York and also a reflection of the quality of our client base. The firm has come a long way since its launch 15 years ago and the move marks a new chapter for us with space to grow and to welcome clients to come and see us in comfortable, modern surroundings.”
