Primark opens extended Ridings Shopping Centre store
Primark welcomed customers to the newly extended 29,075 sq. ft. (retail) store within The Ridings Shopping Centre yesterday for the first time.
Value fashion powerhouse Primark opened the doors to its newly extended 29,075 sq. ft. (retail) store within The Ridings Shopping Centre yesterday, Wednesday 6th May.
The extension follows a deal secured with owner Moorfield Real Estate Fund (MREF) in 2013, which has already seen the value fashion powerhouse take over two additional units within the Wakefield based Centre.
A Primark spokesperson said: “Primark is delighted to have extended its store within The Ridings Shopping Centre. The extension has allowed us to offer our customers more space, more style and more savings for all the family.”
Eileen Holroyd, centre manager for The Ridings Shopping Centre, added: “It’s great to see one of our stores growing within the Centre. Primark is a popular choice with our customers and we know that they will be keen to explore the bigger store and discover what it has to offer.
“The expansion will be a big draw for shoppers, building upon our fashion offering and enhancing our strong retail mix of high street names and unique independent stores.”
Leigh Burnett of Plus Shops Retail who manage The Ridings for Moorfield, also commented: “We are delighted to have been able to facilitate this expansion for Primark which gives The Ridings a fantastic anchor store and will no doubt increase the number of visitors to the Centre”.
