Coventry and Warwickshire accountancy firm to host family business seminar
A Coventry and Warwickshire accountancy firm will be hosting a free seminar for family-run enterprises aimed at helping them to develop their business.
The seminar hosted by Harrison Beale & Owen (HB&O) will be held at the Coventry and Warwickshire Growth Hub at Cheylesmore House in Quinton Road, Coventry, on Thursday, May 14 from 8am until 9.30am.
It will offer companies the chance to hear from HB&O’s experienced family business team, who will discuss key issues affecting family businesses such as succession planning and business structure.
There will also be the chance for guests to ask questions and network with other delegates.
Guest speakers will include Nigel Knapp, of the Coventry and Warwickshire GrowthAccelerator programme, who will discuss how it can help companies achieve their growth potential along with Phillip Sanger, of Vault IP, to discuss patents, designs and trademarks.
Rob Kendall, managing director of HB&O, said: “Family-run businesses are a significant factor in the UK’s economic success. The UK’s three million family firms employ more than nine million people and contribute to almost a quarter of GDP.
“However, while running a family business has its benefits, it also brings with it a number of issues that may require the help of professional advice. That is where our seminar can help.”
