Newcastle property development company makes new senior appointments
Adderstone Group, an independent property development company, is continuing to expand its team as it gears up to work on a number of projects throughout the UK.
The Newcastle-based company has appointed four team members to senior roles across its Development and Construction divisions, bringing the total number of staff based at the Group’s Ouseburn headquarters to over 80, and totalling over 200 staff across all subsidiary companies and site teams.
The latest recruits are Rob Wilson, Construction Director, Michael Shipley, Development Division Finance Director, Marc Dobson, Senior Quantity Surveyor and John Angus, Architectural Technician. All bring industry knowledge in a host of specialist fields.
Rob Wilson has joined the business to head up Adderstone Construction as Managing Director. Rob, 34, originally from Preston and now living in Newcastle, brings a wealth of experience having previously worked for Shepherd Construction where he was Managing Quantity Surveyor.
Rob is responsible for the running of the Group’s dedicated construction business which specialises in the undertaking of high-quality new build, bespoke and refurbishment projects across a host of sectors, including residential and commercial property.
Michael Shipley, 30, from Chester-le-Street, joined the business from Tait Walker Corporate Finance in Newcastle in 2014. His new role includes overall responsibility for maintaining and delivering all management and statutory requirements of the Development division.
Marc Dobson and John Angus both join Adderstone Group’s Development division as it embarks on a number of exciting and challenging new projects.
Marc, from Newcastle, joins Adderstone Group from Capita to deliver a portfolio of development opportunities in over 100 locations throughout the UK.
Also joining Marc in the Development team is 47-year-old John Angus also from Newcastle, who has over 20 years of experience working in renowned architects’ practices in the region. John joins an expanding team of architects to provide expert in-house technical design for all development opportunities being progressed by the business.

Adderstone Group continues to embark on a number of multi-million pound development projects across the UK including the 254 bed student accommodation Stepney Yard in Ouseburn, Newcastle which is due to open in September 2016 and a luxury residential development in Bermondsey, London.
