Delifonseca receives Taste of England Bronze Award
After wowing renowned judges from across the UK, Delifonseca Dockside has been presented with the notable Bronze Award in Taste of England category, at the 2015 VisitEngland Awards for Excellence.
Located on Brunswick Quay, the popular foodie mecca beat off stiff culinary competition to become a winning finalist, and is now recognised as one of the top three businesses throughout the country in their category.
Proprietor Candice Fonseca, General Manager Lavinia Cooke and Head Chef Martin Cooper were presented with the prestigious accolade during an awards ceremony held at Sage, in Gateshead.
Candice said: “This is the second time that we have featured in the awards and we couldn’t be more delighted. We are really looking forward to sharing the news with our customers – from both in the city and further afield.“
This year saw 75 finalists - 15 Gold winners, 15 Silver winners, 15 Bronze winners and 30 “highly commended”, selected from a total of 345 entries, representing tourism businesses across England.
Winners were chosen by a panel of tourism industry experts chaired by VisitEngland Board Member and Chief Executive of the Blenheim Estate, in Oxfordshire, John Hoy.
