Encompass Appoints Ian Schofield to Support UK Launch
Encompass Corporation, provider of industry leading visual information management technology to the insolvency and restructuring sectors, has announced the appointment of Ian Schofield as an industry advisor.
In this role, Schofield will provide Encompass with the benefit of his expertise and experience in insolvency matters to support the delivery of key product developments. The appointment comes as the company looks to build its footprint in the UK, following the announcement earlier this month that its technology platform is on general release nationwide.
Schofield is a qualified chartered accountant and also a licensed insolvency practitioner. He recently retired from accountancy and business advisory firm, BDO LLP (formerly PKF LLP) where he had been a partner for 31 years. He has extensive experience in professional services, particularly in restructuring. Over the years he has acted on many restructuring and insolvency matters improving returns for major stakeholders and creditors from distressed situations.
In his new role, Schofield will have a roving brief, providing strategic advice and industry insight to Encompass Corporation across the UK, working closely with Mark Nuttall, VP for the UK and EMEA.
According to Nuttall, “Ian has an excellent track record in the insolvency sector and a vast knowledge and awareness of key industry issues. His experience and understanding of how commercial information is used to inform decisions in the insolvency and restructuring sector will be invaluable to us as we first look to establish ourselves in the UK market and then consolidate that position over time.”
