Harrogate’s Joe Manby Limited wins three-year, multiple show, contract with PLASA Focus
Harrogate-based Joe Manby Limited has secured a three-year, six show contract for the entertainment technology event PLASA Focus.
The company, founded in 1974, is now tasked with providing event services for both PLASA Focus: Leeds and PLASA Focus: Glasgow between 2015 and 2018.
As well as working on the PLASA Focus event in Leeds since its launch 11 years ago, Joe Manby Limited also supplied event services for the inaugural Glasgow sho in 2014.
PLASA Focus highlights the latest technologies and techniques within the entertainment technology sector, and give visitors the opportunity to network with the industry’s leading manufacturers, dealers, rental houses and production companies, as well as take part in seminars, product demonstrations and product training.
PLASA also holds major events in America and London.
Christopher Toulmin, director of events division at PLASA, said: “Joe Manby Limited has always provided a unique level of support to our event in Leeds and they were an integral partner for our launch in Glasgow in 2014.”
Louise Kiwanuka, PLASA’s operations manager, added: “Charles Paines and his team deliver a full package of services with attention to detail and commitment to seeing every element through to completion. Having worked on our Leeds show for over a decade Joe Manby Limited knows our format and understands our needs completely. They were a natural choice to provide event services for both our Leeds and Glasgow shows and we look forward to working with them over the next three years.”
Charles Paines, divisional director at Joe Manby Limited, also commented “We are delighted to agree this three year contract with PLASA Focus. It is always pleasing to be re-appointed by clients that we have worked with for a number of years. It was a pleasure to work on the Glasgow show last year and we look forward to working there again in January 2016.”
