151 Products signs deal with Chupa Chups®

Manchester-based business 151 Products – the UK’s largest manufacturer and supplier of quality household items – has secured a licence deal with global confectionery brand, Chupa Chups®.

Under the licence agreement, 151 Products has produced a range of car air fresheners in Juicy Apple and Strawberry Dream scents. The items are currently stocked in Tesco and are due to be rolled out at various forecourts throughout the year.

The company will produce a range of home fragrance candles and expand the car air freshener range, incorporating an assortment of the brand’s popular flavours – Wild Watermelon, Dreamy Vanilla, Cola and Lemon Fizz, Coconut and Pineapple Delights, Coconut and Pineapple Delights, Raspberry and Vanilla, and Raspberry and Vanilla Moments.

Richard Shonn, managing director of 151 Products, commented: “The Chupa Chups® licence is a real coup for 151 Products. Working in partnership with a brand that has 55 years of heritage and strong nostalgic associations, will allow us to create a new range that will resonate with a wide audience.

As a result of this growth, 151 Products has secured a number of lucrative licensing agreements, including soft drinks brand, Tango, through which it launched a shower gel and car air freshener range. The company has also worked with comic book publisher, DC Thompson, to bring to market car air fresheners featuring its most famous characters – Dennis the Menace and Gnasher ®, The Dandy® and Bananaman®.
