I-COM&Moda in Pelle Shortlisted for National Award

Manchester digital marketing agency I-COM has been shortlisted for the BT Retail Week Tech & Ecomm Awards for an innovative web design project with leading footwear brand, Moda in Pelle.

I-COM created the website at the centre of a Moda in Pelle’s bespoke omni-channel shopping experience, uniting online and in-store activities to provide a holistic service to customers nationwide. The new Magento Enterprise website replaces the brand’s original platform, which had been modified in line with changing technology and consumer behaviour during the past decade.

Ravi Bhalla, technical director at I-COM, says: “It was important for the new site to fully integrate with third party supplier software and internal systems, but the project also needed to serve wider business aims and help to drive the company towards its innovative vision for the future.”

Moda in Pelle’s e-commerce manager, Jessica Lockwood, says: “Over the past few years we have seen dramatic changes in consumer behaviour and within the fashion e-commerce sector in general. Customers are looking for that seamless experience and the ultimate in convenience and payback; they want to consume in a way that fits in with their lives.They do not have the time to keep checking stock levels on products they want to buy and they want to be rewarded for brand loyalty.

“Multichannel is the key focus for the business over the coming years - we want to give our customers the ability to shop for the brand in any way that suits them. We already had an exceptionally capable back end IT system, and teamed with the new Magento website it lays strong foundations for some very exciting developments for the business and our customers.”

With I-COM’s expertise in e-commerce, the agency was able to make bespoke modifications to Magento to serve these purposes, while working closely with the in-house development team to give a seamless experience to customers.

I-COM and Moda in Pelle are shortlisted for the Greybridge Project of the Year title and the winner will be announced at a ceremony taking place on 10th June 2015 at the Hilton Park Lane, London.
