Environmental services company Mantank propels expansion with Stockton relocation
Mantank, a Stockton based environmental services company, has expanded to larger premises this week, a result of impressive contract wins spanning across the last two years.
The company, which provides cleaning services for companies in the chemical and petrochemical sectors, originally established itself in Manchester in 1995 but moved to Stockton two years ago for strategic purposes.
Since then, the company has increased its workforce from four staff members to twenty-five and has purchased a total of twelve new tanker vehicles.
Mantank now plans to continue its growth, expecting a further eight members of staff will be recruited this year, whilst turnover will reportedly increase from £7.5m to £8.5m by this time next year.
The company has also recently signed contracts with a major north east based steel manufacturer and national food producer.
Speaking of the company’s success, Richard Valks, General Manager at Mantank said “We’re absolutely delighted with Mantanks success in the North East so far-and it’s credit to our experienced team who have put vast amounts of hard work in and showed complete determination.
“When we first established ourselves in the North East no one had heard of us, but our existing relationships outside of the region gave us some great foundations to build upon and from there we have gone from strength to strength.”
The company has also proudly invested over £3.5m in new state of the art vehicles and machinery, a good proportion of which has gone into the Stockton branch.
“Continual investment in our vehicles and machinery is important to us. It proves to our customers that we are committed to providing the best possible solutions for their requirements.
“A lot of our work involves the disposal of hazardous waste and so customers need to be reassured that this is treated effectively, safely and in the most environmentally friendly way possible.
“Purchasing our new premises has further sealed our commitment to the North East and demonstrates we are here to stay, will continue to invest and are committed to recruiting and growing.”
Mantank work with a range of small and large companies carrying out services such as hazardous and non-hazardous waste management, vacuumation, industrial cleaning, tank cleaning and plant decommissioning.
