LPG supplier takes to the road with AvantiVan
Residents of Fife will receive an unusual visitor this week as AvantiGas hits the road and arrives at The Fife Show on Saturday 23 May, to engage with the local community about the use of LPG (liquefied petroleum gas) in areas not connected to mainline gas.
The ‘AvantiVan’ has been transformed into a home-on-wheels where residents can drop in for a cup of coffee to find out more about the services AvantiGas can offer homeowners.
With 24% of properties in Scotland not heated by mainline gas connection, residents in some rural villages are left to find alternative sources to fuel their homes.
For many, LPG has become a convenient and popular choice, with over 15,000 homes in the UK utilising it as their main fuel supply. However, any residents with burning questions about its usage, or how easy it would be to switch supplier, can quiz the AvantiGas team at a time to suit them throughout the day.
Susan Younger, domestic sales representative for AvantiGas Scotland comments: “We want to get out and actually meet our customers in more rural areas, as well residents who may still be in the dark about LPG and AvantiGas, so we have brought our specialist knowledge to their doorsteps.
“Existing customers will be able to talk face-to-face with our team and ask any questions they may have about their existing supply. While those who do not yet use AvantiGas can find out more about how they can benefit from our expert knowledge, advanced technology, and discover how easy it is to switch with our dedicated customer service team.
“We’ve decked out the van with some quirky ‘home comforts’ to make it as inviting as possible. Hopefully visitors will feel really relaxed there and will enjoy catching up with our team, face-to-face.”
AvantiGas distributes LPG across the country from two in-land terminals and 15 distribution centres.
