Safety first in Beverley says David Wilson Homes
Ahead of the bank holiday weekend, David Wilson Homes is warning of the dangers building sites in Beverley hold for local children. Whilst construction sites may appear to be fun and appealing places for youngsters, David Wilson Homes is highlighting the dangers to children and parents – asking them to put their safety first and stay away.
In a bid to drive home the safety message David Wilson Homes has produced some fun info-graphics for youngsters and has supplied them to each school in the local area. In addition, the local housebuilder is planning to deliver safety talks at local schools in the run up to the summer holidays to help encourage safety in the local area.
Paul Hogan, Sales Director at David Wilson Homes Yorkshire East, whose developments include the Elm Tree Park and Woodhall Grange developments in Beverley comments: “The bank holiday weekend is a great time for youngsters to have fun out and about in their local area, however we can not stress enough how important it is that they understand the dangerous nature of construction and building sites. To try and drive the message home we’re looking to deliver safety talk across Yorkshire at local schools.”
Paul continued: “In the interim, we were keen to create an accessible and visual way to raise awareness of the dangers – resulting in us designing an info-graphic that appeals to both younger and older children. We’re hoping this, teamed with our talks, will help to educate children about the real risks playing on and near a construction or building site can hold.”
