Spire Manchester partners Sellick Partnership’s MPCL
Spire Manchester Hospital has teamed up with Sellick Partnership to sponsor the seventh annual Manchester Professionals Cricket League (MPCL). A key fixture in the Manchester business community’s calendar, MPCL will this year bring together 19 teams – consisting of 26 of the leading businesses in the region – to raise much-needed funds for St Ann’s Hospice and Lord’s Taverners charities.
The MPCL was founded by finance and legal recruitment specialist Sellick Partnership in 2009, and has raised close to £50,000 to-date for good causes in the region. The line-up includes teams from Manchester businesses KPMG, Deloitte and last year’s champions, The Co-operative.
Anthony Blandford, Business Development Manager at Spire Manchester, commented: “We want to support local businesses and raise awareness of the importance of looking after the health of your workforce. When Sellick Partnership approached us about the MPCL, we knew it was a great opportunity for us especially with private medical insurance recently surveyed as one of the leading employee perks.”
Jo Sellick, Managing Director at Sellick Partnership, commented: “Getting Spire Manchester on board is great news for the Manchester Professionals Cricket League – Sellick Partnership has raised nearly £50,000 so far for some great causes, but my aim is to make this year’s competition even bigger and better. This additional support will mean we can raise even more for our nominated charities St Ann’s Hospice and Lord’s Taverners during the 2015 tournament.”
Businesses who would like to find out more about the MPCL should contact Anna Gibbons on 0161 834 1642 or visit www.sellickpartnership.co.uk/MPCL/index.html
The MPCL commenced on 18th May with the Final taking place on 17th July at Timperley Sports Club.
