Orbit-sponsored Stockport music Festival names 'tour' acts

The Orbit-sponsored Headlander Festival on Tour has unveiled its line-up for the three town centre venues.

Singer-songwriters Kyle Ross, Finola Daley-Dee, Ashley Sherlock and Sam Lyon will be appearing at Foodie Friday on Friday 29th May.

On Friday 5th June, Live Stockport will reverberate to the sounds of Kazo and Jeramiah Ferrari.

And on Wednesday 10th June local trio The Hayes Sisters and Dave Sharp, founder member of 80s alternative rockers The Alarm will be at the Bakers Vaults.

Local band Kazo are sure to find new fans in their home town when they play Live Stockport. The four-piece’s rock sound, heavily influenced by Led Zeppelin and Radiohead, has been crafted the old fashioned way through endless gigging.

At the other end of the music spectrum is Jeramiah Ferrari, who will be playing at the same venue. Another four-piece, Jeramiah Ferrari fuse reggae, ska, rock and punk to create their own unique sound.

Among the up-and-coming talent lined up for the town centre gigs is local singer-songwriter Kyle Ross, who will be performing his eclectic mix of rock/blues/folk.

Also on the bill is Finola Daley-Dee, who will be performing her pop-tinged folk songs, and Sam Lyon, who is sure to perform tracks from her debut EP Promise.

Tony Jones, Managing Director of Orbit Developments, said: “I’m delighted that people will have a taste of the Headlander Festival in the town centre, and it’s sure to provide further exposure for these talented performers.

“It will raise awareness of the main event in Bramall at the end of June and, most importantly, drive footfall and income into the town centre.”

Festival organiser, Chris Keene, added: “Orbit has been a great supporter of the festival in the past and it’s great we can work together again to develop the event further this year. We are looking forward to bringing Headlander to town.”

Orbit developments has 12 commercial properties in Stockport, including its flagship building Regent House.
