hlw Keeble Hawson on judging panel of Sheffield Hallam University Enterprise Challenge

Keeble Hawson LLP, one of the region’s biggest law firms, is supporting Sheffield Hallam University’s Enterprise Challenge for the seventh consecutive year.

The competition awards a £5k investment prize to enable the winner - who may be a current student or a graduate - to transform their idea into reality. The 2014 first place was awarded to niche enterprise Cycle in Company.

Roger Dyson, head of corporate law and partner at hlw Keeble Hawson, is joining the judging panel alongside Professor Liz Barnes of Sheffield Hallam, Toby Hyam of Creative Space Management, Alan Somerfield of Gripple Ltd, Gordon Macrae representing both Gripple and Incub, Andrea Cropley of Irwin Mitchell, Gail Stephens of Sheffield Hallam Student’s Union - and Keith Williams of UK Steel Enterprise.

Said Roger: “The Enterprise Challenge is an ideal platform to reward and encourage new business talent seeking initial help and investment and we always witness a wealth of creativity and innovation among the entrants.”

Shelia Quairney, head of enterprise at Sheffield Hallam University, commented: “We appreciate and value hlw Keeble Hawson’s continued support of the Enterprise Challenge as part of its links with the University. We have seen a number of graduates receiving training contracts with the law firm – a tradition we are keen to continue.”

The winner will be announced at an awards dinner on October 1.
