SureCloud Accelerates Cyber Essentials Certification with New Application
SureCloud, a supplier of Cloud-based Governance, Risk and Compliance (GRC) solutions and security services, today announced the launch of its Cyber Essentials accreditation Application on the SureCloud Platform.
The Cyber Essentials Application supports accreditation for the UK Government’s Cyber Essentials Scheme, delivering an independent assessment of the essential security controls that organisations need to have in place to mitigate risks from internet-borne threats.
The Application allows customers to access the Cyber Essentials accreditation form to complete their responses and upload associated evidence onto the Platform for assessment and testing by SureCloud. This gives organisations a range of benefits, including the ability to demonstrate progress through the certification process; to assess their compliance against overall goals; to monitor continual compliance; and to assign key compliance tasks to nominated individuals. For organisations wanting to achieve Cyber Essentials PLUS status, SureCloud also provides onsite testing, with results visible in the Application.
“The Cyber Essentials Application makes it easier for organisations to start the certification process, giving them an accurate overview of their current compliance status and the actions they need to carry out to achieve Cyber Essentials accreditation,” commented Richard Hibbert, CEO of SureCloud, “This will help companies to accelerate and maintain compliance, providing a solid foundation for other security programmes.”
Following its formal membership of CREST, announced earlier this year, SureCloud has since been accredited as a Cyber Essentials certifying body, adding further credibility to SureCloud’s Security Services Team which has been CESG CHECK approved since 2009.
Lower cyber-insurance premiums are becoming an added bonus to organisations achieving the Cyber Essential certification, as some insurers commit to incorporating Cyber Essentials into their risk assessment processes.
Since 2006 SureCloud has taken an innovative approach to delivering security testing by providing clients with the ability to manage test outputs via the Vulnerability Management Application within the SureCloud Platform as well as delivering traditional penetration test reports. The SureCloud Platform can also provide clients with other functionality including Event Management, Vulnerability Scanning as well as automating GRC processes.
