Retail giant Barbour partners with Washington transport solutions firm Tadea

Heritage and lifestyle clothing brand Barbour is working in partnership with Washington-based Tadea to enhance their drivers’ skills, boost fuel efficient motoring and reduce carbon emissions.

Barbour drivers attended a half day EAL accredited driver training course covering hazard perception, fuel efficiency and tired driving delivered by Tadea’s Effective Transport Solutions.

Tadea’s Effective Transport Solutions is the first of its kind in the UK, designed to make fleet motoring safer, greener and more financially sustainable.

Tadea provide driving solutions via classroom and simulator-based training, so drivers can practise in a safe and controlled environment.

Ryan Llewellyn Pace, Sales Director for Barbour UK & Ireland, said: “Tadea has been excellent to work with. They have offered our fleet of drivers a concise and unique course through their simulators.

“The training has given our drivers a valuable insight into driving more efficiently and understanding how to cope with the many hazards, including the danger of tiredness with everyday driving.”

Gordon Pattie, Manager at Tadea’s Effective Transport Solutions, said: “We are delighted Barbour has decided to team up with Tadea.

“Drivers will help Barbour maintain safety standards which are embedded in the culture of their business. Changing driver behaviour is a positive step to safer roads and cleaner air, and it will have a huge impact on their business, employees, and communities.”
