Merco MD Named Young Entrepreneur Of The Year

Merco’s success took another step forward in 2015. In April, Merco’s Managing Director, Simon Dresdner, was named Young Entrepreneur of the Year at the Business Excellence Forum and Awards held in Portugal.

A Busy Growth Period

Overall, April has been a busy month for Merco, with various new contracts launching in the Northern Quarter, as well as fantastic widespread client feedback for our on-site cleaning team. During the last few weeks, Managing Director Simon Dresdner also won personal acclaim during the Business Excellence Forum and Awards ceremony in Grândola, Portugal. Simon was chosen as the winner of the Young Entrepreneur of the Year award, and was supported at the event by Merco’s very own business coach, Paul Whitfield. The win comes following a particularly successful year for Merco to date.

The Awards

The awards evening is part of the Business Excellence Forum and Award events, hosted annually in four cities around the world: Las Vegas, Grândola, Gold Coast and Jakarta. Each conference spans two days and provides professionals from around the world the opportunity to take part in talks by guest speakers, all while enjoying plenty of networking and, of course, the famed awards evening.

During the two day Grândola event, Simon and his fellow attendees had the immense pleasure of hearing from knowledgeable professionals, such as Brad Sugars, Dr Tony Alessandra and John Davy on a range of topics; each speaker imparted excellent advice and eye-opening information to a dedicated audience.

On winning Young Entrepreneur of the Year, Simon commented that he’s ‘thrilled’ to have been chosen for the award and thanked the Merco family and business coach Paul Whitfield for their dedication, hard work and support.

Everyone at Merco would like to pass on their congratulations to Simon, who has invested a lot of time, energy and enthusiasm into making Merco a success, and enabling the business to flourish and his talents to be recognised. Congratulations, Simon!
