Loaf Website Champions Investec Derby
A website championing The Investec Derby’s reputation as ‘The Greatest Flat Race in The World’ has been designed and built by Loaf Creative.
The integrated creative agency’s fully responsive platform uses compelling messaging, atmospheric images and an effective user journey to promote the unique nature of the two-day Investec Derby Festival.
Widgets and a separate news portal further entice potential race-goers.
Epsom Downs Racecourse briefed Loaf to redefine the online presence of The Investec Derby in February.
The horseracing circuit already has a Jockey Club Group website but wanted a site specific to The Investec Derby Festival, which starts on Friday 5 June.
Once called ‘London’s Great Day Out’ due to the fact you can watch the event for free on ‘The Hill’, the main stands continue to sell out on a yearly basis attracting crowds of over 100,000.
The Derby remains the world’s greatest flat race, attracting a huge global TV audience, as well as being synonymous with legendary names such as Sea Bird, Nijinsky, Shergar and 2014 hero Australia.
Loaf’s founder, Dave Mullen, said: “By reaffirming the prestige of The Derby via a platform designed to excite, inform and encourage fans to attend, we hope to further broaden the appeal and reach of one of the UK’s most iconic sporting events.”
Richard Jaques, Head of Marketing for the London Region of The Jockey Club, said: “From the initial brief Loaf have embraced the brand pillars that support our positioning as The Greatest Flat Race in The World. We are delighted to now have a bespoke microsite for The Derby that allows us to bring some of the colour, history and passion of the race to life.”
Loaf Creative also works with ambitious brands like Liverpool ONE, The Jockey Club, The Grand National, Merseyrail, Westinghouse, Henry Boot and Best International.
