‘Netflix for live music’ offers unlimited gigs for £25 a month in London

Cooley has advised Jukely, an existing client of the firm’s New York office, on its launch in the UK.

Jukely enables music fans to attend an unlimited number of gigs a month for a flat fee of £25 a month.

The team included partners Ed Lukins (Corporate) and Sarah Pearce, who was assisted by associate Amy Collins (both Technology Transactions).

The service began in New York in 2013 and has quickly expanded to 12 cities across the United States and Canada. In London, more than 50 concerts will be available to subscribers who will pay £25 a month for the service.

Founder Bora Celik told the Standard: “Nobody needs to discover Rhianna, everybody knows when she’s in town. When they’ve paid up front – like a gym membership – people are willing to be spontaneous and take a risk on discovering something new. Our biggest competition is getting people off the sofa from watching Game of Thrones.

“We’re not parasites feeding off hot shows, we want to encourage London’s hipsters, designers and artists to find new music.”
