Recruitment drive underway at North East double glazing company Pennine

North East conservatory and double-glazing provider Pennine has taken on eight new staff this month, with more jobs on the way.

Pennine has created the new roles to meet growing demand for the brand’s product and services across the region.

The recruitment drive also supports Pennine’s ethos of delivering the best possible customer experience together with the lowest lifetime product cost.

Five people have joined the field marketing team to staff the firm’s sites located at retail partners stores including Tesco, Sainsbury’s, Homebase and Dobbies Garden Centres.

New recruits include Stephen Oliver, Ian Robson and Brian Trewick who have joined as field marketing managers, and Abbie Harvey and Jessica Anderson, who have joined as field marketers.

Michael Nixon and Anthony Broughton have joined the aftercare team, as an assistant and engineer respectively, while Ryan Chattergee has been employed as a telesales representative.

Sales of Pennine products, including conservatories, orangeries, windows and doors, increased by more than £3m between 2011 and 2014, jumping from £8.04m to £11.1m.

Over the past four years, the company has grown its workforce by more than a third - with 40 new roles created to help fulfil its mission statement: to be a cut above.

Pennine now employs 157 staff and is currently recruiting a senior lead manager, to be based in the Newcastle Showroom.

Managing Director Graham Auld said: “At Pennine our focus genuinely is on developing a customer centric company that re-defines what people think of the double-glazing and conservatory experience.

“This has been key to our growth to date and I’m thrilled to be able to create more jobs as we continue to build the business.”

Senior Lead and Showroom Manager Alan Dixon said: “Pennine has a long-established reputation in the region for the high quality of its conservatories and windows, and with the company’s strong growth it’s an exciting time to be joining the business.”
