2,000 home development set out in Salfords
A new development that will feature more than 2,000 homes, a primary school and shops may be built on green belt land located near East Surrey Hospital.
The major project will involve building 2,300 flats and houses, several retail outlets, bus routes and sports pitches, is reserved for vacant land to the east of Salfords.
Property developer Quintain sent a statement to Reigate and Banstead Borough Council that explained the site, which is less than a mile south of the hospital next to Whitebushes, on land east of the railway line up to Mason’s Bridge Road and Picketts Lane, also “presents the opportunity” to add a large car park for Salfords Railway Station and community facilities.
There is no confirmation as of yet if this development has been given the go-ahead.
