Access Group’s StratoGen leads the way in mid-market hosting solutions with launch of OpenStack
Hosting solution provider StratoGen, who were acquired by Access Group in December 2014, is leading the way for mid-market hosting in the UK with the launch of its OpenStack solution.
StratoGen, who has vast experience in deploying mid-market built hosted environments, already has two of its biggest customers in the OpenStack market, which as a whole is set to be worth an estimated $1.7 billion by 2016 (*)
Karl Robinson, Chief Commercial Officer at StratoGen, said, “We’ve seen a rapid adoption of OpenStack in the SME market place in the UK and identified the opportunity in an uncrowded market to provide mid-market companies with a highly scalable and customisable cloud infrastructure.”
He continued: “Organisations benefit from of a high degree of automation and scalability, including the deployment of the cloud solutions behind it. Our OpenStack Private Cloud solution gives customers increased security, control and performance without the burden of designing, deploying and managing their own infrastructure. It will give mid-market businesses more time to deliver great customer service and value from their applications while StratoGen manages the datacentre environment.”
OpenStack has just seen the release of its latest version, Kilo, offering nearly 400 new features to support software development, big data analysis and application infrastructure at scale. This new release will focus on interoperability in the market, raising the bar for driver compatibility, and extending the platform to fit workloads with both bare metal and containers.
“We work hard to ensure that both our technology and customer experience is of the highest possible level, with many organisations relying on us to run their business. As trusted advisors, we’re as passionate about client service as we are about our hosting solutions. OpenStack is just one of a range of hosting solutions offered by StratoGen alongside Infrastructure as a Service, Desktop as a Service, Disaster Recovery as a Service (Zerto), and Back Up as a Service (Veeam),” concluded Karl.
StratoGen is a proud member of the OpenStack Foundation and was recently shortlisted in the Internet Services Providers’ Association (ISPA) Awards in the ‘Best Dedicated Hosting’ category.
