Award-winning North Yorkshire pub set for expansion

After reopening last year, a Yorkshire pub is set to expand after acquiring additional land surrounding the premises.

The Black Bull at Moulton, which was bought by Provenance Inns in 2013, will now be able to offer customers larger gardens, giving an ideal view for the pub’s 16 bedrooms which are scheduled for completion next year.

Since opening its doors last Spring after major programme of investment by its new owners, the black Bull has won several accolades, including Dining Pub of the Year at the prestigious Flavours of Herriot Country Awards.

Langleys Solicitors LLP, which was involved in the purchase of the Black Bull in 2013, acted on behalf of Provenance Inns on the acquisition of the land.

Provenance Inns now owns a group of seven village inns, including The Durham Ox at Crayke, The Carpenters Arms at Felixkirk, The Punchbowl at Marton cum Grafton and the West Park Hotel in Harrogate.

The business, formed by Chris Blundell and Michael Ibbotson, supports local suppliers and producers, and is committed to reviving the traditional village pub.
