neaco makes three key appointments

Malton-based building products manufacturer, neaco, has made three key appointments with the arrival of James Pickering as CAD technician, Liam Kay as contracts manager and Michael Walsh as business development manager.

Michael has valuable experience in the industry, having previously worked in international sales for Prime Engineering International, a company which operates extensively the architectural and construction sectors. With responsibility for the Midlands and South West region, he will be overseeing the sale and specification of neaco’s full range of balustrade, balconies, aluminium open grilles and adaptive bathing products, including grab rails, support rails, shower seats, true level access shower grilles and half height shower enclosures.

Previously contracts manager at Sheffield-based Architectural Fabrications, Liam has a wealth of experience in managing the specification and construction of building solutions across a wide range of sectors. Working with neaco’s dedicated team of fitters, as well as developer staff and subcontractors, Liam will be closely involved in pre-let meetings, site surveys, design drafts and installations to ensure that exacting standards are achieved at every project which specifies the company’s products.

James brings outstanding expertise to his new positon, having worked in AutoCAD design for almost 20 years. Previously in a similar role within Highways Design at York City Council, he will perform a central role in the site survey, design and specification of neaco’s full range of products at developments, projects and installations throughout the UK.

Commenting on the appointments, neaco’s UK business development manager, Peter Melia, said: “Michael is sure to provide another dynamic presence offering valuable expertise to architects, designers, contractors, facilities managers and end users. He is the latest important member of a dedicated sales team which operates throughout the UK and Ireland.”

“Contracts manager is a vital and very demanding role in architectural specification, so I’m pleased that we have appointed someone of Liam’s expertise. He will be an outstanding asset to the team as we prepare for a number of major specifications secured at high profile projects which are due to come on stream this year.”

“In the past 18 months neaco has secured a high volume of orders in the residential market and our Spectrum balustrade and balcony range has been chosen at numerous luxury apartment developments. James will initially concentrate on the delivery of these types of specifications but in the longer term he will be applying his expertise across the rest of our diverse product portfolio in a wide range of sectors.”
