Motel One opens in Manchester
A new budget hotel has come to town, with Motel One opening its first hotel, in Manchester.
The new 330-room hotel is located directly opposite Manchester-Piccadilly rail station.
The new venture has resulted in the creation of 35 jobs plus an extra 20 outsourced cleaning jobs.
The company prides itself on affordable prices and great design so to give customers a unique travel experience, each Motel One takes design influences from its city’s history and culture.
Motel One Manchester-Piccadilly has taken its design from the city’s strong industrial heritage and Britpop culture to produce an atmosphere that is fitting of its metropolitan host.
The budget design chain currently operates 50 hotels across Europe.
Manchester-Piccadilly is the latest development in the brand’s European expansion plans and will be followed later this year with the opening of a hotel in Amsterdam.
