Nomad Travel doubles online conversions with Cybertill

Travel health and equipment retailer, Nomad Travel, has streamlined its retail operations with the implementation of Cybertill’s EPoS and ecommerce modules, the leading cloud-based retail software provider.

Established in 1990, Nomad Travel’s unique business model sees it combine travel supplies, such as clothing and equipment, with health services via its pharmacy, stocking travel medicines and hygiene products, and its clinics, which offer pre-holiday vaccinations and health advice.

With a footprint of ten stores in the UK, stock visibility was becoming increasingly important for Nomad Travel as it looked to expand. Cybertill’s solution allowed the retailer to have a single view of its stock, enabling Nomad Travel to better manage its stock replenishment and account for sales.

Thanks to Cybertill’s real-time data, the solution provided Nomad Travel with live stock checks across the store estate, allowing staff to better inform customers about product availability, while also presenting upselling opportunities. The integrated electronic Point Of Sale (ePOS) and ecommerce platforms have also enabled Nomad Travel to implement Click & Collect, extending its multi-channel operation whilst adding an additional fulfilment service for customers.

Jonny Patrick, Ecommerce Manager at Nomad Travel, commented: “The big thing is that our stores and website are now joined up. Each store can see head office and other stores’ stock levels, which helps ensure we do not miss any sales opportunities. The sales analysis and audit trail was suddenly visible so we could track stocks and sales immediately.”

Commenting on the increase in online sales, he added: “Our online conversion rate has doubled, so it’s been impressive. Instead of in-store and online being two detached functions, we’re starting to work together more. The stores are supporting the website more than they have ever done, so it’s been really positive.”
