Export Manager awarded prestigious international trade qualification

An Essex based Export Territory Manager is celebrating after scooping a top prize at the Institute of Export’s (IOE) recent graduation ceremony.

Lili Roqueta from Dalebrook Supplies Ltd - specialists in the design, manufacture and supply of food display equipment - was awarded ‘The Worshipful Company of World Traders award’ for achieving the highest marks in the Institute’s Diploma in International Trade.

Lili joined leading figures from the world of international trade for a lavish awards ceremony and reception held at the Lord Mayor of London’s residence, Mansion House, London.

Commented Lili: “Studying for the diploma has helped me gain a better academic understanding of the world of international trade and developed my strategic thinking. The International Marketing Strategy module was particularly relevant to my role, which involves me dealing with more complex markets, and was the basis for my Practical Global Trading project, which is currently being used as a benchmark for the review of our company’s presence in the international hotel market.

“As a result of the Diploma, I am also taking on a more senior role within the Export Team, carrying out market analysis activities and additional export staff training.”

Lesley Batchelor, director general of the Institute of Export, said: “Congratulations to Lili and to all of the graduates. The year-on-year increase that we continue to see in our enrolment figures clearly demonstrates that businesses understand and agree with the need for embedded professionalism in international trade and recognise that our globally acknowledged qualifications equip students with the necessary skills, knowledge and expertise to work effectively in this sector.”
