Jon, who is based at Cherry Tree Grove in Ferndown wins the award during his first year of joining the company

The six winners were joined by site managers working for Barratt Developments across the UK, which have scooped more than 80 awards for quality workmanship.

The Pride in the Job Quality Awards are the most coveted in the housebuilding industry. They are awarded after the construction standard setting body National House-Building Council (NHBC) carries out a series of spot check site inspections to select the best-organised and best-quality housing developments.

Thousands of site managers throughout the UK were judged on every aspect of their job, including technical skill, quality workmanship, customer service and site safety.

The site managers will now go forward to the final round of the competition which will select the best site manager in Britain.

Barratt and David Wilson Homes managing director Ian Wallace said he was delighted that local site mangers have again been judged as among the best in the housebuilding industry. “The official recognition of the jobs which our winning site managers are doing, shows that we are building some of the best quality homes in the country.

“The site manager plays a pivotal role in ensuring our teams deliver high-quality new homes and we are delighted that our investment in training and developing the very best staff has recognised in this way. This is truly an outstanding result and one which should inspire confidence in our buyers.”
