West Yorkshire aerospace chemicals supplier leads new Indian-based business
The aerospace market has just received a major boost after three suppliers of chemical products to an array of high tech industries have teamed up to launch a new business in the rapidly expanding Indian market.
West Yorkshire-based Pexa Ltd, along with Socomore and Sherwin Inc. are all members or associates of the Aerochemicals Alliance, a grouping of companies involved in the supply of chemical products to the aerospace industry.
Companies within the Aerochemicals Alliance collaborate to develop synergies which benefit their customers. Halifax’s Pexa, which is a specialist distributor of surface treatments and coatings, provides extensive experience of supply chain management in the aerospace industry.
Socomore is a manufacturer of surface treatment products and is approved by major OEMs to the latest technology specifications. Sherwin is a manufacturer of NDT products including dye penetrants and magnetic particle inspection materials.
As all three companies are leaders in each field, they will each provide materials for all major aerospace projects currently underway including those of Airbus and Boeing.
Pexa will be fronting the new partnership in India, and will also be entering into agreements with customers and suppliers, employing any local staff and developing local facilities.
Socomore and Sherwin will support the investments and provide their technologies and technical support via the new venture.
In addition, the companies will build on their existing successful business partnerships with customers in Bangalore, Hyderabad and Belgaum and plan to locate their new operation in the Bangalore area.
India’s aerospace industry is significantly expanding and huge projects for Boeing and Airbus are already underway. The defence sector will also see growth via international partnerships and technology transfers. The partners are very well placed to support this expansion.
