Capital to Capital – Capital Properties Cycles for Charity

Manchester based property advisors Capital Properties are raising money for children’s charity Brainwave – by getting on their bikes and cycling to Paris. Taking place 17th-19th July 2015, the 3 day ride will see participants cover 270 miles from London to Paris, taking in the sights of Dover and the River Somme on the way.

The money raised will go to Brainwave, a children’s charity which aims to improve disabled children’s mobility, communication and learning potential through a range of tailored therapy programmes. They now impact the lives of over 600 children, all of whom have been affected by a range of development conditions, and their families.

James Murdoch and Andy Phillips from Capital Properties will be joined by Dave Pilkington from Poplar HARCA, a longstanding client of the property managers. The challenge will see them undergo weeks of training before tackling a variety of terrain throughout their journey, not to mention the variable English weather.

James Murdoch, Research and Development Manager at Capital Properties, comments “From my experience sitting on the North West development board for Brainwave, I have seen first-hand the importance of fundraising activities and the impact they can have on families in need.

This bike ride is sure to be a challenge for many riders, but it will be a shared experience, and the desire to raise money for this important cause will be the driving factor behind us all.“

Phil Edge, Chief Executive of Brainwave, added “It’s always brilliant to see individuals supporting the essential work we provide to young people with disabilities. Capital Properties is an organisation we’ve partnered with for a number of years for the annual Manchester Duck Race and we’re looking forward to seeing where this partnership will take us.

On behalf of everyone at Brainwave, we would like to wish Andy, James and Dave good luck on their ride to Paris.“
