Manchester Based Rainbow Cosmetics Celebrate 25th Anniversary
This year Manchester based business, Rainbow Cosmetics (MD Stephen Sharman) are celebrating their 25th anniversary. Rainbow first started as a small niche family run business that is now in its 2nd generation and has become a multi-million pound operation.
85% of Rainbow’s activity remains in the wholesale of cosmetics and fragrance however they have in recent years been focused on building their own brands, one of which is Sunkissed, one of the fastest growing tanning brands in the UK and with Summer just around the corner, sales are set to rocket once again.
Sunkissed has earned itself a first class reputation alongside some of the bigger players in the tanning market. Brand sales are experiencing huge growth, due in part to a number of product launches including: a new cosmetics collection ‘Beautiful Bronze’ by Sunkissed and Rapid Tan - an innovative new tan that works in just 60minutes.
The launch of the new Rapid Tan product has exceeded expectations with the tan selling so quickly that Rainbow is struggling to meet demand. It has sold out of stock within one month of launch.
Working with celebrities including Lucy Mecklenbugh, an association now in its 2nd year; strong media coverage surrounding the launch of Rapid Tan and the anticipated heat wave has increased like for like sales by 24%.
Rainbow is continuing to grow and their goal for 2020 is to turn over 40million with 30% through their own brands such as Sunkissed. As it stands, sales from their own brands are up 33% from the previous year.
Sunkissed Rapid Tan and other products from the range are availabe in Primark and online at www.sunkissedbronzing.co.uk
