Teesside's Nortech Group furthers industry presence with Aberdeen expansion
Nortech Group, the Wynyard-based engineering design and project management company, has expanded its operations with the opening of a new office in Aberdeen.
With offices in North East England and now North East Scotland, the company will be able to better serve its client bases in these two key industrial regions and, in particular, support the evolving requirements of the energy sector.
Based on Riverside Drive, Nortech will continue to service its existing Aberdeen-based clients in the oil & gas sector while also building its presence in the Granite City in established and new markets.
From its Teesside base, the company has successfully expanded its Engineering Design, Management Consultancy and Staffing Search and Selection services beyond the oil & gas sector.
Nortech supports a range industries including process, petrochemical, power generation, marine, manufacturing and utilities and the establishment of its Aberdeen office will also further strengthen its strategy to grow its market position in these sectors, whilst also bringing innovation and best practise from each.
The investment in the Aberdeen office, which will be staffed by a group of senior Nortech employees who will work across the company’s two operations, is the latest development by the business, which has experienced rapid growth in recent years.
Bryan Bunn, Managing Director of Nortech Group, said: “We have built a strong reputation in the Aberdeen market and this new office will enable the business to further develop its position in the region’s industry sectors.
“Despite the fluctuations and uncertainties in the oil & gas sector, we have confidence in the industry, which is reflected by establishing a permanent base in Aberdeen that will work in tandem with our successful North East England operation to provide greater levels of service to our clients.
“The evolving landscape in the energy sector, particularly oil & gas, requires a more agile and proactive supply chain. As a relatively small, but experienced, business in the supply chain, we can better react to the changes in the market and meet the requirements of our customers through our professional services in a fast and effective manner.”
