Wayne Hemingway helping to Accelerate business
Lancashire born fashion guru, designer and entrepreneur Wayne Hemingway is to host Accelerate, a one-day event aiming to put business on the fast track, which returns for a third year to Liverpool Waterfront in October.
The event will be hosted at ACC Liverpool on Friday 9th October. Delegates will be able to tailor the event to suit their needs, as they choose two categories from ‘Passion’, ‘Performance’, ‘Power’ and ‘Accelerate’.
Wayne Hemingway rose to prominence as co-founder of the Red or Dead fashion label. More recently, he co-founded HemingwayDesign which specialises in affordable and social design.
Motivating event delegates will be Dr. Steve Peters, a sports psychologist who worked with Britain’s Olympic cyclists Chris Hoy and Victoria Pendleton, and author of best-selling book ‘The Chimp Paradox’. His clients include Marks & Spencer, KPMG and LEGO.
Dr. Steve Peters said: “Accelerate aims to encourage businesspeople by coaching innovative thinking and offering strategic choices, so it is a perfect fit for the ‘Chimp Paradox’. I’m looking forward to working with delegates to show them how they can apply the principles that have helped a roster of champions to their ventures and produce quick results.”
Joining the line-up is queen of coding Kathryn Parsons, CEO and co-founder of Decoded, which has been named one of the UK’s most innovative businesses; Dan Germain, the man who created the tone of voice and the brand culture of drinks company Innocent; and inspirational speaker Jim Lawless who has implemented successful cultural change programmes in companies including Apple, Barclaycard and BT. More speakers will be announced shortly.
Organised by Liverpool Vision, one of the event’s main sponsors is Virgin Trains.
Gary Iddon, Virgin Trains general manager for North West and North Wales, said: “We’re extremely proud to support Accelerate. It’s a must attend event for entrepreneurs with some fantastic speakers sure to engage the audience, offering real and practical advice.”
Max Steinberg, chief executive of Liverpool Vision, said: “Accelerate is gaining a reputation for itself after what have been two very successful events in the last two years.
“It provides concentrated, practical advice for entrepreneurs which will have immediate benefits on the way they run their businesses and how they develop – regardless of what field they specialise in. The fact that so many who attended in the first year returned last year shows that they saw value in it.”
