Bradford City closes in on 18,000 season ticket mark
Bradford City is hoping the 2015/16 season is one of the club’s biggest yet as it recently announced almost 18,000 season tickets have already been sold.
The boost in season tickets sold occured this past Friday, Saturday and Sunday, when the ticket office opened under extended hours. Over the weekend, the number of tickets sold increased from 16,000 to up past 17,500.
Furthermore, following Sunday’s #onefournine deadline day, Bradford is expected to break the 18,000 season ticket mark by the start of next season.
This figure also eclipsed the club’s previous goal ofselling 15,000 tickets with the launch of a campaign in March.
To increase its home game fanbase, Bradford slashed season ticket prices by £50, therefore any Bantams fan over the age of 16 now pays £149 for an adult ticket.
Now boasting the lowest prices in League One, fans who attend every game at Valley Parade will be charged an average of £6.50 each time.
However, the price of a ticket purchased on the day of a game will increase to £25 and £15, which is part of a strategy to encourage fans to become a season ticket holder.
