Leeds’ Oates Environmental takes bigger premises to support future growth
Leeds-based Oates Environmental, a specialist waste disposal company, has moved to a new site in Leeds after experiencing significant growth in the past 12 months.
Chartered surveyor and property consultancy Sanderson Weatherall, also based in Leeds, successfully completed the letting process.
Oates Environmental, which operates across Yorkshire, has taken 13,000 sq ft at Carr Crofts Drive in Leeds, in order to achieve further growth and move the company forward.
Oates Environmental specialises in hazardous waste disposal, including liquid, packaged or drummed wastes, oily contaminated absorbents, printers and builders waste, and industrial tank cleaning.
Simon Oates, managing director of Oates Environmental, said: “We were searching for new premises which would allow us to expand our operation, but finding a site that allowed us to achieve this without having to compromise on any factors was challenging. The site on Carr Crofts Drive was ideal as it gave us scope to develop our own waste treatment facility.
“As the process progressed we found ourselves relying increasingly on Sanderson Weatherall’s knowledge to help us find the right space for us.”
Sanderson Weatherall’s agency experts who arranged the letting on behalf of a private landlord are based at the leading national chartered surveyors’ offices in Wellington Street, Leeds.
Jonathon White, Sanderson Weatherall surveyor, added: “We are seeing increasing demand in Yorkshire and in Leeds in particular for industrial premises with yard space, as this gives businesses greater ability to expand their operation. For many businesses, this flexibility to expand at their own pace without restriction is vital to their continued success and we are very happy to have been able to assist Oates Environmental in this case.”
