Monarch announce summer 2016 Leeds Bradford Airport flights

Monarch, the leading scheduled airline to leisure destinations, has announced the launch of more than 80% of its summer schedule for 2016, which includes several flights on sale from Leeds Bradford Airport.

This announcement comes just over a month since Monarch announced the addition of several new winter routes flying out of West Yorkshire airport.

Destinations now on sale for next summer from Leeds Bradford include Alicante, Barcelona, Dalaman, Faro, Larnaca, Mahon, Majorca and Tenerife.

Marjan Schoeke, head of network development for Monarch Airlines, said: “We know our customers like time to plan their holidays in advance and take advantage of the best fares. The summer 2016 schedule is focused on our core short-haul, pan-European destinations. We are pleased to be able to release the most popular routes and destinations for advanced sale for next summer giving our customers a head start on planning their breaks!”

As the Luton-based airline company is competing with Europe’s biggest and second biggest budget carriers Ryanair and easyJet, Monarch’s Chief Executive Officer Andrew Swaffield also told Bdaily last month why the West Yorkshire airport is becoming a favourite for them.

Tony Hallwood, Leeds Bradford® Airports aviation development director, added: “Leeds Bradford welcome the release of the Monarch summer 2016 flying programme serving eight sun and city break destinations. With the flight programme on sale over three months earlier than last year, Yorkshire travellers can be guaranteed the widest possible holiday choice flying to Spain, Portugal, Turkey and Cyprus.’’

Further flights and additional routes will be added to the summer 2016 schedule in the coming months.
