Brits are most productive at precisely 12.29pm

New research highlights just how efficient we really are at everyday tasks and when and where we could waste less time. Partners who need their other half to do chores or pull their weight around the house and bosses looking to get the most out of their employees should voice their requests at 12.29pm, as this is the time at which Brits feel they are most productive.

New research released today from Crucial.com indicates just how productive we are every day, where we spend our time and when we could be more efficient. Whilst almost 60% of Brits worry about how much time they waste at home, or how unproductive they have been throughout the day, the survey found that the most productive activities for Brits relate to food – almost half (47%) of those surveyed said that they are most efficient at cooking a family meal and, for 42%, it was the weekly food shop. A third (33%) of those surveyed said they feel most productive when spring-cleaning the house.

It’s therefore not surprising that, when it comes to the places where we are most productive, almost two fifths (36%) of Brits feel they’re most productive in the kitchen. For 17%, it’s the living room, whereas 1 in 8 Brits (12%) feel most productive when working in the garden.

A third (34%) of those surveyed said ensuring all gadgets and technology are working properly and quickly is most important when looking to improve productivity; however, fewer than a quarter (24%) of those surveyed said that they were efficient when using their laptop or PC for working, only just beating washing up in the poll (23%).

“It can often be difficult to be as productive around the home as you’d like to be, and when it comes to using your PC it may well be because it is running slowly in the first place,” said Fabrice Sabo, a computer upgrade expert from Crucial.com. He continued, “A simple computer memory upgrade can help speed up a slow-running computer, allowing you to dedicate more time to your day-to-day tasks and become more productive.”
