YourRepair Plumbers hits £250k turnover in 12 months
A plumbing firm from Cheshire has managed to increase its turnover from zero to £250k in the space of a year.
YourRepair Plumbers, which is based in Crewe, covers Staffordshire and Cheshire, including the areas between Wilmslow and Knutsford.
YourRepair Plumbers’ managing director, Adam Fryer, has put the company’s growth figures down to repeat business. He said that the majority (around 85%) of the callouts are made by existing customers.
Together with his partner, Sarah Chell, Adam currently has a fleet of three vans and employs five engineers, but YourRepair Plumbers has plans to expand further.
Adam said: “The difficulty for us can be finding the right engineers because we have a very extensive vetting process. All of our engineers have extensive experience, they have to be Gas Safe qualified and they must have either four written company references or 10 customer references, which we follow up with phone calls.
“Our aim is that when householders consider hiring a plumber, they don’t think of Googling or looking at directories, they just immediately think ‘YourRepair Plumbers’.”
Adam started the business in 2000 as a sole trader, but the firm has gradually expanded to take on more members of staff. It was a year ago that Adam decided to have the business focus on the plumbing market as a limited company.
