British Insurance Industry honours Be Wiser Insurance
Hampshire-based Be Wiser Insurance has been honoured at the British Insurance Awards for its commitment to training both its own staff and those of the whole industry.
The Andover company received the Investing in the Profession Award and the Outsourced Partner Award for its Wiser Academy.
Chairman Mark Bower-Dyke said he was thrilled with the success and paid tribute to all staff for the success.
“This is the industry’s biggest and most prestigious awards ceremony and to receive two awards for our work is tremendous,’’ he said. “We have a strong commitment to training and development and we are delighted that this has been recognised with such important awards.”
The Investing in the Profession award assessed companies on how they and their staff have championed professionalism in the industry and the importance of training.
Judges also looked at new initiatives and benchmarking and how this commitment contributes to overall business success,
“We employ more than 600 people, we run the largest apprenticeship scheme in the insurance industry and we have an ongoing commitment to staff development,’’ said Mark. “These are the cornerstones of our continued growth and success.”
The Wiser Academy was honoured for its work in providing class-leading training for the whole industry. Set up last year, the Wiser Academy offers a range of tailor-made courses for all levels of insurance personnel with a team of 18 in-house staff delivering industry registered certificates.
In this category judges in the British Insurance Awards were looking for organisations which have responded in an innovative way to the demands of the market and have provided consistent levels of service and customer satisfaction.
“We have invested heavily in training our own staff to the highest levels and we are delighted that this training is benefiting the whole industry,’’ said Mark.
